BAMBOO YARN

Happy Wednesday!! I am hoping you are having a very productive day. I have really revved up my engines and I am happy to announce that I am crossing names off my list.

Yesterday after posting I went looking for a yarn that could give us a nice lace imitation and so far I have not come across any, but to be honest, real lace is hard work and not something you can jump into on a whim, it takes lots of practice, but for now, we can feel good with ” Imitation Lace”.

I have used bamboo yarn before and I can tell you it is nice and soft and has a soft sheen to it  it is a joy to work with it.

Now,  as you can see in the photographs yesterday we will need a type of lining under the crochet lace.

This is all experimental, I am not an expert, neither  am I afraid to try, if it looks ugly then I will rip it, and try again 🙂

I will let you know soon, if I like what I see, I will share it with you, in the meantime use your coupons and buy bamboo yarn and set it aside…..

  1. My mother made me a lacey crochet dress in 4ply cotton when I was in my teens. I used to wear a plain white petticoat underneath. Interested to see what you come up with.

  2. I love knitting with bamboo too. It’s quite stretchy and a bit splitty but it’s soooo soft. Can’t wait to see what you’re up to!
