IT’S ALL OVER!!!!

Well here we are, it is the first Friday in December and I am very happy to say that I made the deadline.

It was a lot of work but well worth it, all the gifts are  under the tree. I needed all the pep talk to keep me moving, and I hope I kept you motivated too 🙂

Now we can relax a bit, and breathe easier.

I am planning a short Road Trip aka The Angel CAL for Wednesday of next week, that will give us time to practice the crocodile stitch.  This trip  will be a short one, similar to the Collar CAL. So practice all this weekend and be sure to get all your supplies ready.

Supplies needed for the Angel CAL: 1- size 10 thread any color . 2- size #3 – #5 crochet hooks. 3– any left over ribbon, starch and cotton balls.

I have white and red thread so I am using both and you can use any of the 3 sizes of hooks.

I  put starch on the list because if you want a nice stiff angel you should get some, I bought mine at a Wal-Mart, and some cotton balls for the head.12052013 005 I hope you have all the supplies ready and don’t forget the background Christmas Carols.

Well this is all for now, and I am looking forward to seeing  you at the gate. Have A Great Weekend!!!!

  2. Well done! I wish I was that organised. I’ve still got quite a bit to do, AND I’m trying to train myself not to get panicky about it this year. 😀

  6. That angel was a gift to me many many years ago from a very dear elderly friend (whom I miss very much). I place her on the top of my little 3′ tree each year. So lovely!!! Hugs………

  9. I used starch for my angel suspended from my wreath last year. The one in the picture looks like it has an underskirt of cardboard but if you want it to be really stand-up stiff I think PVA glue would be better though it gives a matt finish.

    • Yes, mine has plastic but I don’t want it that way and PVA glue? Never heard of it, I need to google lol but I’m on it…

      • It’s what I used for my Christmas baubles. (See my tutorial). You dilute it for stiffening crochet. It makes the crochet very stiff but takes off the shine. The glue wasn’t expensive – You could experiment before you use it on your angel.

  10. very pretty! Have you ever used a fabric stiffener product called “stiffy” instead of the starch? I’ve used that a couple times…never used starch…just wondering how they compare.
