EMBROIDERY THREAD

I loved the response the Tiny vs Massive post received, that lets me know that we need to TRY micro crochet 🙂

I love a challenge, well, most of the times. I must confess that once, many moons ago, I made my Mom a crochet handkerchief  which I know she still has, made with polyester thread and a very tiny hook,

The handkerchief looked a little like these I found on the internet:

My life wasn’t hectic back then, and I worked on it for several weeks. I enjoyed the satisfaction I felt when it was finally finished and my Mom’s admiration 🙂

I guess that is what makes crochet and any art form for that matter so satisfying, it makes us feel good.

At first it looks impossible like the Bobbin Lace, but sewchet assures me that she tried it and she loves it because it is repetitious, which makes me repeat my mantra: Practice Makes Perfect.

We need to challenge ourselves, that is really what makes us better, If at first it looks impossible: Try and Try again.

So, I am off to buy some embroidery thread, don’t laugh…I may not be SuAmi but at least I can try to make something else….

See you soon…the adventure continues….

  1. I can’t wait to see what you create. I don’t think my tension can handle crocheting with embroidery thread. I’ll stick to cross stitch with that and drool at your creations 😉

  2. Good Luck! I doubt my old eyes would be up to the challenge.

  3. I have tried tiny crochet, I did two tiny black cats to go with the giveaway I did. If you want a tip, don’t use dark colours, it was so hard to see the stitches with black!
