The Olympics are finally here and the opening ceremony was very Olympic in every sense of the word πŸ˜€ wasn’t it nice seeing all those smiling faces?

I enjoyed everything about it!!! and I am  going to watch all  my favorite events, wishing I could be competing too πŸ˜€

This is a good time for me to explore Carioca music and food ( I am familiar with the carnival and the language already πŸ˜€ )

I have not found any fun events online for crochet addicts that will coincide with the Olympics, so I am going to set the bar higher for myself and learn even more stitches and maybe even invent a new one for the GOLD!! Yay!!!

The first stitch I want to learn is the Houndstooth Crochet stitch. This stitch makes a very iconic and classic cloth and it is not difficult at all: just Double Crochet and Single Crochet stitches, I know, crochet sometimes is a No Brainer πŸ˜€

I hope I have several projects to show at the end of the Olympics, and hopefully  lots of us are taking home medals πŸ™‚

Okay, let me finish this post here, I need to catch up so I can watch the other competitions πŸ˜€

  2. Good luck, I’ll be following with interest to see if there’s anything else I fancy trying. 😊

  3. I am watching the games, too. I wouldn’t dare attempt to learn something new while watching….it would be hopeless.
